Job summary

Putlands Veterinary Surgery in Kent is seeking an experienced Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, RCVS-accredited practice. You will work on a genuinely mixed caseload across beef, sheep, camelid, and smallholders, plus equine and small animal cases.

The role is based in a well-equipped clinic with on-site X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and in-house labs. Flexible hours and a 1:4 on-call rota support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experienced large animal vet with several years clinical experience.
• Confident working independently and delivering excellent clinical care.
• Role tailored to interests and strengths, with opportunities for leadership or specialist pathways.

Responsibilities

• Support a genuinely mixed caseload: beef, sheep, camelid, and smallholders, plus first opinion equine and small animal cases.
• Based from a well-equipped clinic with x-ray, Easi-Scan ultrasound, endoscopy, in-house lab and on-site stocks.
• Role can be tailored to fit interests and strengths.
