Experienced House Manager/Maintenance and Housekeeper/Cook couple sought for an adult family’s stunning part-time residence in Oxfordshire. This role is ideal for a high-caliber, hands-on couple with a proven track record in private service and excellent references.

Employers appreciate entertaining on weekends, so a cook of dinner-party standard is preferred. The housekeeper will handle daily housekeeping, laundry, and flower arranging. The house manager/maintenance/estate worker will oversee pool maintenance, estate work, occasional driving for airport/station runs, and dog care. Alternatively, the house manager can also serve as the cook.

Teamwork is important as other staff are employed. Since this is a weekend residence, weekend work is required with days off during the week. Flexibility to work longer hours during periods of residence or entertaining is needed, but hours are unlikely to exceed 40 hours per week. Occasional travel to Switzerland during ski season to look after the chalet is also required. Staff accommodation is provided in a 2-bed apartment.

The salary is negotiable, around £80k gross per annum for exceptional candidates, depending on experience. Interviews are ongoing, with a start date when the ideal couple is found. Consideration will also be given to single housekeeper/cooks at £50k gross per annum.
