Job summary

Greystone House Surgery in Redhill is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will support practice nurses with a range of clinical procedures, from height/weight checks to ECGs and blood sampling, while ensuring infection control and patient confidentiality.

You will also assist doctors with minor procedures, participate in vaccination campaigns, and help with general patient care and administrative tasks across the site.

Qualifications

• Experienced Healthcare Assistant
• Able to assist with simple clinical procedures
• Maintain confidentiality and infection control standards

Responsibilities

• Assist practice nurses with clinical procedures (height, weight, urinalysis, BP, ECGs)
• Take blood samples and wound care as required
• Support vaccination campaigns and minor surgeries
• Chaperone and support doctor activities
• Maintain stock of consumables and ensure infection control
• Promote healthy lifestyles and weight management

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Greystone House Surgery in the heart of Redhill for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our vibrant team. This is a full time, permanent position., The key responsibilities of this role are to assist the practice nurses with simple clinical procedures which will include height, weight, urinalysis, lifestyle advice, blood pressure checks, new patient checks, ECGs, wound care and removal of sutures, taking blood samples, CPR, chaperoning, supporting with vaccination campaigns, assisting doctors with minor surgery, coil fittings and general patient assistance. To implement clinical work to ensure effective care delivery in the partnership with clients and families/carers. To promote and advise on healthy lifestyles and weight management. To ensure confidentiality on all matters relating to patients and information obtained during the course of employment. To work with other members of the team to ensure clinical areas meet a satisfactory infection control level and remain adequately stocks with consumables.

Greystone House Surgery is a modern friendly Practice in Redhill representing one of the three sites which make up The House Partnership between Greystone House Surgery, Caterham Valley Medical Practice and The Moat House Surgery. This role is based at Greystone House Surgery, 99 Station Road, Redhill, RH1 1EB. Cross-site working between the Merstham and Caterham sites may occasionally be required.
