Halmer-Recruit is recruiting for 4–5 Experienced Hard Landscapers to join a growing landscape construction company in Sudbury and surrounding areas. You will work from drawings, set levels accurately and complete tasks with minimal supervision, focusing on paving, patios and hard landscaping projects.

Role requires proven hands-on experience, reliability and strong team collaboration. Travel to sites around Sudbury/Ipswich with paid travel time and potential pick-up arrangements.”

Experienced Hard Landscaper, Paving & Groundworks (878E) Sudbury, England

Salary: GBP32240 - GBP37076 per annum

£15.50 per hour + paid travel time
Full-time, permanent | Sudbury, Ipswich & surrounding areas

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced hard landscaper with strong paving and garden construction skills? Can you work from drawings, set levels accurately and complete allocated tasks without step-by-step supervision?

We are recruiting for 4–5 Experienced Hard Landscapers to join an award-winning and growing landscape construction company.

Proven hands-on hard landscaping experience is essential. You must be able to demonstrate good-quality workmanship and confidently carry out hard landscaping tasks using your own initiative. These positions require established practical skills and are not suitable for trainees or applicants seeking their first landscaping role.

You may currently describe yourself as a skilled landscaper, landscape installer, landscape construction operative or paving specialist. What matters is your experience delivering hard landscaping work to a high standard.

We are particularly interested in candidates around Sudbury, Ipswich and the surrounding areas. The team travels together to projects, with pick-up arrangements available depending on where you live. Travel time is paid in addition to onsite hours.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out hard landscaping and associated groundworks

Lay paving and construct patios and paths to a high standard

Work effectively alongside the wider landscaping team

Requirements

Proven experience working as a skilled hard landscaper or in a landscape construction role

Strong practical paving skills and experience in hard landscaping construction

Experience with brickwork, footings and small retaining walls

The ability to set out works, establish levels and work accurately from drawings and specifications

Confidence completing allocated tasks without close supervision

Experience using relevant tools, equipment and machinery safely

Good attention to detail and pride in the finished result

Reliability, a strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team

CSCS card advantageous but not essential

Driving licence advantageous but not essential

Applicants whose experience is limited to garden maintenance, mowing, planting or general labouring will not have the practical construction experience required for these positions.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.00pm onsite.

Travel time is paid in addition to onsite hours. Total paid hours vary depending on project location.

The team travels together, with pick-up arrangements available depending on where you live.
