Job Opportunity: Experienced Teaching Assistant

Location: Surbiton
Contract Type: Full Time
Salary: £89-100 a day, experience dependant
Start Date: Flexible (From April)

Are you an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in the lives of primary school children? Protocol is seeking a dedicated, skilled, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic and supportive team. If you have experience working in a primary school setting and a commitment to fostering the academic and personal development of young learners, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of all students.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support, particularly for students with additional learning needs.
  • Encourage a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued and motivated.
  • Support the development of students' academic, social, and emotional skills.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Contribute to the preparation and organization of classroom resources and materials.
  • Work closely with the teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure the well-being and success of every child.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school environment.
  • Strong understanding of the primary school curriculum and the ability to support a diverse range of learners.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive, proactive approach to challenges.
  • A strong commitment to fostering a love of learning and helping children reach their full potential.
  • A relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) is a plus.
