Job summary

Jackie Kerr Recruitment Ltd on behalf of a rapidly growing engineering company in Chesterfield is seeking an Experienced Fabricator to join their team.

You will carry out general fabrication on steel structures, interpret drawings and technical specifications, measure, mark out, cut, shape and drill steel and plate, and perform high-quality MIG welding. Work is performed with a range of workshop tools and equipment, maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Fabricator within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Confident with general fabrication and steelwork.
• Strong MIG welding skills.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experienced in measuring, marking out, cutting, and assembling components.
• Comfortable using a range of fabrication machinery and workshop equipment.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general fabrication work on a range of steel structures and components
• Interpreting and working from engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Measuring, marking out, cutting, shaping, and drilling steel and plate
• Carrying out high-quality MIG welding
• Assembling and fabricating components to a high standard of accuracy and quality
• Using a range of workshop tools, machinery, and fabrication equipment
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
• Maintaining strict adherence to all Health & Safety procedures and site policies
