Vision for Education are currently recruiting Experienced Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Staffordshire.

As an Experienced Cover Supervisor you will supervise classes, deliver pre-set work and ensure students remain focused and engaged with their learning, with long-term placements possible.

This role offers flexible supply work, daily variety and potential longer-term placements, with a supportive consultant team throughout your journey.

Competenze

• Must have proven classroom and behaviour management skills in a secondary school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, teachers and parents.
• Experience supervising classes across Key Stages 3-5.
• Willingness to obtain/enhanced DBS check if required.
• Right to work in the UK with eligibility to work.
• Commitment to supporting students' learning and development.

About the role

As an Experienced Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain focused and engaged with their learning.

This role is ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors looking for flexible supply work, a better work-life balance, or the opportunity to experience different school settings. Daily supply, short-term and longer-term opportunities are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across Key Stages 3-5
• Deliver and explain pre-set work provided by the classroom teacher
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Support students with their learning and ensure they remain on task
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident and adaptable approach
• A genuine commitment to supporting students' learning and development
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
