We are seeking an experienced and proactive Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant and high-achieving secondary school in Lewisham from September 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous experience in classroom supervision to contribute to a school that values consistency, high expectations, and student engagement. You will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring a purposeful learning environment in the absence of the regular class teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
·Delivering set lessons to classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
·Maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement
·Supporting the wider pastoral and academic life of the school
·Providing short-term cover across subjects where needed
·Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the Cover Manager
We are looking for someone who:
·Has previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role
·Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
·Is calm, flexible, and confident in working with young people
·Understands safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
·Can positively contribute to the wider school ethos and culture
