Vision for Education Ltd is actively recruiting Experienced Cover Supervisors to support students across secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent. As an Experienced Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absence and keep learners on task with pre-set work for Key Stages 3 and 4.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a secondary school setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lessons across a range of subjects using work set by the class teacher.
• Ensure students remain focused, engaged, and complete learning activities.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Provide support and encouragement to students during lessons.
• Build positive relationships with students and school staff.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams.
• Follow safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times.

About the role

As an Experienced Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain engaged and on task with pre-set work across a range of subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4.

Working within supportive secondary schools, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning, managing classroom behaviour, and supporting students' progress in the absence of the regular teacher.
