Job summary

Green Folk in Malvern is seeking a skilled CNC Setter Operator to join its precision manufacturing team. The role covers setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-value components, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and problem-solving.

The ideal candidate has extensive CNC milling experience, strong knowledge of Haas controls, and the ability to read technical drawings and CAD models. Overtime is paid, and the role is based on-site in Malvern.

Qualifications

• Time served in CNC machining or 5+ years' experience in CNC Milling.
• In-depth experience on Haas CNC controls.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD models.
• Familiarity with CNC programming languages (e.g. G-code, M-code, PowerMill).
• Excellent working knowledge of G/M code (ISO CNC) machine control.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Prepare and set up CNC machines for production runs, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are in place.
• Operation: Operate CNC mills to manufacture parts according to specifications and drawings.
• Programming: Load and modify CNC programs as needed to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products against drawings and models to ensure all features are complete.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with CNC machines or the machining process to minimize downtime.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and quality checks.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
