Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd has partnered with a well-established civil engineering contractor in the East of Scotland to appoint an experienced Planner. You will develop and maintain construction programmes from tender to completion, working with Project Managers and site teams to set realistic milestones and protect programme delivery.

The role requires strong planning knowledge, proficiency with Primavera P6 or Asta PowerProject, and the ability to analyse progress, risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as Planner in civil engineering, construction or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of planning techniques and forecasting.
• Proficient with Primavera P6 or Asta PowerProject.
• Ability to analyse programme performance and risks.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes from tender through to completion.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Site Teams to set realistic milestones.
• Monitor progress and identify delays, risks and opportunities.
• Produce regular programme updates and progress reports for stakeholders.
• Support short-term look-ahead and recovery programmes.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to align requirements.
