Job summary

First Bus in Halifax is seeking experienced PCV drivers to join our depot. You will deliver a safe, reliable and friendly service, helping passengers reach their destinations while representing the company in your community.

This role is more than driving – you are the face of First Bus, contributing to the continued movement of the York area and delivering excellent customer experience on every shift.

Qualifications

• Valid PCV Licence required.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Customer‑focussed attitude and reliability are essential.
• Right to work in the UK; background checks will be conducted as standard.

Responsibilities

• Represent First Bus in the local community and promote passenger journeys.

Experienced Bus Drivers / PCV Licence Holders Required

£15.47per hour (£29,764 per annum)*
Conditions apply*
36 hours per week
5 days per week (Sunday-Saturday)
Shifts assigned in advance on a rota basis
*Salary applies to experienced drivers who have held a PCV licence for 2+ years *

The Role

We're looking for experienced PCV drivers to join our Halifax depot.

You'll deliver a safe, reliable, and friendly service, helping customers get where they need to be while representing First Bus in your local community.

This role is about more than driving - it's about being the face of First Bus and keeping York moving.

What you'll need

• A valid PCV Licence
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points)
• A positive, customer-focused attitude
• Reliability and the ability to work independently
• Right to work in the UK
