Job summary

First Bus in Basildon, Essex is hiring experienced PCV drivers. The role offers £18 per hour (£35,568 per annum) and a 38-hour week with shifts planned in advance. Join a growing team that values safety, service, and community impact.

As a driver you will be the face of First Bus, delivering friendly, reliable transport to customers and keeping the local community moving. We provide onboarding, mentoring, and opportunities to progress into team leader or instructor roles.

Qualifications

• PCV licence holder with valid PCV qualification.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Customer-focused attitude and reliability.
• Ability to work independently.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Drive buses safely and provide reliable, friendly service to customers.
• Adhere to shift rosters and rota schedules.
• Represent First Bus as the face of the company in the community.
