Job summary

ITS (Holdings) Ltd in Hampshire is seeking an experienced Bricklayer to join the team in Aldershot. You will lay bricks and blocks for walls, read drawings, and build gables and chimney features, ensuring accuracy, quality and safety.

The role requires working at heights, familiar with site safety rules, and reliable, punctual workmanship with a valid CSCS card. Immediate start on a temporary ongoing contract in Hampshire.

Qualifications

• Previous bricklayer experience is required.
• Ability to read drawings and work independently.
• Knowledge of bricklaying techniques, gables and blockwork.
• Experience working at heights and site safety awareness.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to quality workmanship.
• Valid CSCS card is required.

Responsibilities

• Lay bricks and blocks for walls and masonry structures.
• Read architectural drawings, plans and specifications.
• Set out walls accurately with correct line, level and plumb.
• Build gables, cavity walls, corners, chimneys and other masonry features.
• Work at heights safely with scaffolding and elevated work areas.
• Mix mortar and cut bricks or blocks to size and shape.
• Complete pointing, jointing and finishing to a high standard.
• Follow site health and safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organised working area.
• Work with site managers, labourers and other trades to meet deadlines.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and hardworking Bricklayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have good practical experience in bricklaying and blockwork, be able to read construction drawings, and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Lay bricks and blocks for walls, foundations, partitions and other masonry structures.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans and specifications.
• Set out walls and openings accurately, maintaining correct line, level and plumb.
• Build gables, cavity walls, corners, chimneys and other masonry features.
• Work at heights safely, including on scaffolding and elevated work areas.
• Mix mortar and cut bricks or blocks to the required size and shape.
• Complete pointing, jointing and finishing to a high standard.
• Follow site health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organised working area.
• Work effectively with site managers, labourers and other trades to meet deadlines.
• Have apropriate tools.
