Job summary

Sheridan Maine is working with a well-established chartered accountancy practice in Ilford to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper. You will manage bookkeeping for a diverse client portfolio and keep financial records up to date in a professional, supportive environment.

Your duties include processing invoices, reconciling bank transactions, preparing VAT returns, and assisting with management accounts. You will liaise with clients to resolve queries and work independently to prioritise tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a bookkeeping role.
• Experience within an accountancy practice is desirable.
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Experience with VAT returns and reconciliations.
• Good communication skills and a client-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a well-established chartered accountancy practice in Ilford, which is looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join its growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys working with a variety of clients and is looking for a role within a professional, friendly and supportive practice environment.

Working with a diverse portfolio of clients, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely bookkeeping services, helping clients maintain their financial records and ensuring their accounts are kept up to date.

Your responsibilities as the Bookkeeper will include:
