We are seeking an experienced and passionate Board Manager for Children’s Safeguarding in the North West. The role aims to support the improvement of practice standards across the service.

Ideal candidate will be:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
  • BA/MA/BSc/MSc in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS, or CCETSW approved equivalent
  • Experience managing a hospital discharge service
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Over 4 years of qualified experience

In this role, you will:

  • Have operational responsibility for discharge planning, ensuring standards are met
  • Support the Operations Director in strategic and operational objectives to ensure timely discharges
  • Review hospital social work team processes to minimize delayed transfers of care
  • Lead and support team development and change management in line with integration goals
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of risks, protection, and social care needs
  • Manage a case load effectively
  • Use communication skills to achieve positive outcomes for service users
  • Develop individual care plans promoting dignity and empowerment
  • Support staff and students' development
  • Attend the office 2 days a week
