Job description

Hours: 5 days per week, approx. 40 hours including early starts and Saturdays

Overview

Established in 2019, we have become the go-to coffee shop in Wood Green for great speciality coffee with a personal, warm and welcoming service. We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and detail-oriented Barista to join our team.

You will be expected to brew great coffee, pour consistent latte art and contribute to a positive working and guest environment. You should be comfortable talking about all menu items ranging from coffee and tea, to sandwiches and sweet treats. We serve espresso-based and filter coffees from Campbell & Syme, with different origins on rotation. Knowledge about these brew methods is essential, as well as a genuine interest and curiosity in learning more.

What we’re looking for
  • Has a valid right to work in the UK (a must)
  • Has experience working with speciality coffee in a busy environment
  • Is dedicated and committed to quality product and service
  • Is a great multi-tasker
  • Has a genuine interest in learning more about coffee and hospitality, and developing their skills
  • Pours consistent latte art and has the ability to dial-in coffee
  • Is sociable and can engage with customers comfortably
  • Contributes to a positive, enjoyable environment
  • Can work weekends and start work (and function well) as early as 6am
  • Is happy doing what needs to be done to help the shop run smoothly
  • Takes initiative and ownership of their work
  • Anticipates customer and shop needs
  • Acts with integrity
