Job description

We are a new cafe in a brand new wellness studio in Primrose Hill opening daytimes, 7 days a week. We source local, seasonal, and organic / low-intervention ingredients and are committed to sustainable principles through our choice of suppliers, packaging, recycling, limiting food waste, and our seasonal menus. We will be serving drinks and healthy snacks, breakfast and lunch all made with delicious seasonal ingredients via thoughtful suppliers.

We’re looking for an experienced skilled Barista and Front of House team member to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate is an experienced barista with a love of good food, wellness and of course great coffee. Barista experience is essential, latte art skills a bonus. Coffee supplier training can be provided. As well as great coffee, the hot drinks menu will include ceremonial matcha and golden milks and a beautiful selection of teas. 10p of every hot drink sold will be donated to the London Wildlife Trust, championing nature’s wildlife recovery.

You will be responsible for taking orders, serving customers, making delicious and great tasting and looking coffee and keeping our front-of-house tidy, clear and well stocked. As a small team, we’re looking for someone flexible and the skilled barista FOH role also includes some food preparation tasks such as plating food items and basic food prep (training provided). We’ll be a small, dynamic team working with the best suppliers with a sustainable

Equipment is likely to be Mahlkonig grinder and La Marzocco coffee machine.

Start date W/C 23rd June with training provided.

Key Responsibilities: ~Prepare and serve high-quality coffee to a consistently high standard ~Keeping high standards of coffee and service during busy times and helping with other tasks such as food prep during quieter times ~Provide a warm and friendly service ~Manage food and drink orders and payments through the POS system ~Keep the café clean, calm, and beautifully presented ~Set up and close down the FOH area, including maintaining coffee and drinks equipment ~Ensure adherence to food hygiene and health & safety standards ~Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment ~Occasionally support external studio events, workshops, or retreats

Ideal Candidate: ~1.5–2 years experience working in a barista role ~Calm, friendly, and professional ~Confident steaming milk and creating latte art ~Coffee machine and grinder maintenance knowledge ~Enjoys working in a small team and happy to work independently at times ~Excellent time management, attention to detail, and cleanliness ~Level 2 or Level 3 Food Hygiene certificate or willing to obtain before start
