Overview

Davidson Walsh is a well-established, highly experienced Structural and Civil Engineering consultancy based in Cheltenham. We are seeking an Experienced AutoCAD Technician to join our friendly and supportive team. Our projects span a wide range of sectors including Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Public/Institutional Buildings, Energy Installations, and Listed Buildings. What You’ll Do

• Produce accurate and detailed AutoCAD drawings with minimal supervision.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, architects, planning consultants, and clients to coordinate designs.
• Attend site meetings, carry out inspections, and dimensional surveys in line with Health & Safety guidelines.
• Ensure project documentation is complete and compliant with standards and procedures.
• Stay up to date with software developments and contribute to improving systems and protocols.
• Estimate time required for drawing preparation and meet agreed deadlines.
• Promote the company’s positive reputation at networking events when required.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong AutoCAD skills with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Confident decision-making and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office) with good project administration skills.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D, or Tekla Structural Designer.
• Qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Membership with ICE or IStructE.
