Job summary

HLN Ltd, a Cardiff-based architectural practice, seeks an experienced architectural technician with strong retail project experience. You will produce drawings using AutoCAD, coordinate detailed design and production information, and support tender and construction documents.

Qualifications

• Retail sector experience required, minimum 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawings and documentation using AutoCAD, independently and with the design team.
• Prepare detailed design and production information for tender packages and construction drawings.
• Produce specifications using appropriate software and advise on materials and detailing.
• Monitor drawing quality and coordination to meet programme deadlines.
• Manage project including health & safety and building legislation requirements.
• Participate in design and construction processes, attend client and design team meetings.
• Assist with site surveys and ensure adherence to procedures.

HLN Ltd, a RIBA chartered practice based in Cardiff, is seeking a dynamic and experienced architectural technician with retail experience. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of architectural services, exceptional project management abilities, and strong client relationship skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Working closely with a large retail company.
• Produce drawings and documentation as required using AutoCAD, independently and in collaboration with our technical team and the wider design team.
• Be responsible for the preparation and coordination of detailed design and production information including drawings and documents for tender packages and construction drawings.
• Produce specifications using NBS software and advise on use of materials and construction detailing.
• Monitor quality and coordination of drawing information ensuring project delivery in line with programme. Ensure compliance with office quality standards.
• Be responsible for the management of the project including health & safety and building legislation requirements along with day-to-day administration of the projects.
• Contribute to the design and construction process.
• Assist with site surveys when required.
• Attend client meetings as required.
• Attend design team meetings as required.
• Follow company procedures including quality management, environmental management systems and health & safety.
• Manage time effectively and identify any resource requirements.

Experience

• Working within the retail sector – 5 years minimum.
