Job Description:

Ground Control is seeking an Experienced Arb Plant Operator based in Newark-on-Trent. The role involves operating and maintaining machinery, supporting site operations, ensuring safety and compliance, and working collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operate various machinery and heavy equipment safely and efficiently across different sites.
  2. Maintain vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good condition.
  3. Support environmental protection efforts and prevent pollution during operations.
  4. Work effectively within a team, support new members, and promote a positive workplace culture.
  5. Adhere to all health and safety legislation, including PPE usage, risk assessments, and reporting hazards.
  6. Actively solve problems on-site and suggest improvements.
  7. Maintain clear communication with team members and managers.
  8. Follow safe working practices and relevant RAMS and legislation.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Essential: NPTC Units 201 & 202, 203, FMO Crane fed chipper, CPCS or NPORS Red Card for Excavator and Slinger Signaller.
  • Must be able to work away from home for extended periods.
  • Desirable: PTS, additional NPTC units, proven excavator operation experience, strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
