Job summary

A debt recovery firm is seeking a Debt Recovery Agent in Kirkby, Knowsley. You will assist customers in managing their debts through effective communication and negotiation skills. This role offers a salary of £26,250 - £30,385 per annum plus bonuses, with hybrid working opportunities. Overview

Debt recovery agent. Join us at Ardent Credit Services ltd as a Debt Recovery Agent, in our Kirkby, Knowsley contact centre. We are a multi award winning debt recovery and credit management services provider who operate in both the consumer and commercial sectors. Salary: £26,250 - £30,385 per annum plus non-contractual bonus.

Responsibilities
  • On a day-to-day basis you will communicate with customers through incoming and outgoing telephone calls.
  • Support customers to pay off their debts in a practical and affordable way.
  • Aim to understand customers' individual circumstances by asking questions ensuring that the customers best interests are met.
  • Work towards KPI targets while handling challenging conversations in a respectful manner.
About you
  • Must have — Minimum 1-year collections/financial service experience
  • Minimum 1-year call centre experience
  • Understanding of FCA guidelines
  • Understanding of vulnerable customers and how to identify them
  • Negotiation skills
About you
  • Preferred — Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to confidently articulate the best outcome for the customer on the spot
  • Good IT skills, with knowledge of Excel
Working Hours

Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm. Although we have no immediate plans to change our working hours, we may at some point in the future return to the original shift pattern which is an alternating 2-week shift of Monday – Friday 8am - 4pm and 10am – 7pm and 1 Saturday every 4 weeks, 9am – 2pm.

Hybrid Working

We operate a hybrid working pattern which allows colleagues to gain a work life balance with the opportunity to work from office and home for part of the week once you are achieving core competencies. Reviews take place after 3 months of employment, but further information will be discussed at interview.
