Job description

HFG are currently working with a leading specialty insurer within the London market who are currently looking for an Expense Business Partner to join them on an FTC for the next 6-12 months. The role will be support the CFO and Senior Management to manage the International expense base, through coordination of the annual budget process and appropriate reporting and analysis of actuals in comparison to that budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Play a critical role in the coordination and completion of the Annual Budget process. This includes liaison with the relevant stakeholders, development of the timetables, process documentation, review and challenge meetings, and production of the ultimate outputs (reporting and analysis to Senior Management, Boards and Shareholders)
  • Produce timely, accurate and highly relevant quarterly and moving to monthly reports of actual expense performance against Budget for relevant stakeholders
  • Lead the International expense allocations process, including documentation of allocation drivers and communication of allocation methodologies to impacted stakeholders
  • Lead the production of appropriate Budget and allocation process documentation, ensuring robust and transparent controls in place and sufficient communication of this to key stakeholders (Budget Holders, Senior Management, Shareholders)
  • Develop the expense team's business partnering capabilities, including delivery of ad hoc project analysis and decision support and influence the improvement of wider processes (inside and outside of Finance) to improve controls, reduce duplication and error and reduce costs

If you are a qualified Accountant with extensive experience in preparing expense budgets, analysing results throughout the budgeting cycle, and possess strong Excel and data manipulation skills-along with experience working with complex financial models within the financial services sector-please get in touch.
