Job summary

Eaton Gate MGU Limited in London seeks an Existing Business Trading Underwriter to build broker relationships and manage renewals for commercial lines. You will handle mid-term adjustments and large cases, working with your team to ensure timely, accurate decisions.

Demonstrated underwriting capability and 2+ years’ experience are preferred, with Cert CII/ACII qualifications advantageous. The role emphasizes compliance and collaborative problem solving within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years underwriting experience (commercial property and casualty).
• Cert CII or ACII qualifications.
• Strong client-facing and broker relationship management skills.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide brokers with renewal invites for all products in good time.
• Resolve renewal queries for your panel of brokers promptly.
• Action Mid Term Adjustments and Cancellations for your brokers/clients.
• Manage large renewals (£5,000+).
• Refer to Underwriting Assistants within the team when needed.
• Answer broker calls professionally and maintain compliance with the underwriting license.
• Utilise the underwriting guide and seek guidance from seniors for collaboration.
• Take initiative to improve processes and support corporate goals.
• Ensure Group entities deliver compliant customer outcomes under TCF.
