Job Title: Exhibition Joiner / Fabricator

Location: Rutland LE15

Shift Pattern: 5 in 7 working pattern (includes flexibility for events and business needs)

Overview:

We're looking for a skilled and driven Joiner/Fabricator to join our exhibition production team. This is a hands-on role that emphasizes craftsmanship and collaboration. You'll create, maintain, and repair both bespoke and standard exhibition assets, working closely with production, sales, and operations teams to ensure excellent delivery on every project, whether on-site or off-site. Your passion for woodworking, precision, and problem-solving will make you an essential part of a high-performing team.

Key Duties:

  1. Inspect, repair, and maintain exhibition structures owned by the company or clients.
  2. Fabricate new assets and custom stands according to specifications, budget, and visual references.
  3. Assist with on-site and off-site installation, snagging, and breakdowns during live events.
  4. Collaborate with teams to scope work, generate quotes, and select materials.
  5. Manage workshop resources and machinery, including CNC, vinyl printer, and 3D printer.
  6. Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, including ISO45001 standards.
  7. Maintain an organized and clean workshop environment, including regular stock checks.

Key Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Joiner, Carpenter, or Woodworker, preferably in exhibitions or events.
  2. Proficiency with power tools and workshop machinery; CNC experience is advantageous.
  3. Ability to interpret technical drawings and CAD designs (e.g., SketchUp, Illustrator, Becad).
  4. Flexible, proactive, and willing to undertake diverse tasks across production and operations.
  5. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  6. Willingness to travel and support on-site builds across the UK, including outside regular hours.
  7. Basic knowledge of health and safety practices, with attention to detail and standards.
