Job summary

Exeter Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks an Emergency Department nurse to join a Magnet-recognized team delivering outstanding patient care in a fast-paced environment. Our ED serves a diverse patient population with high volumes and a focus on quality outcomes.

Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and teamwork are essential. BSN preferred, active RN license in NH or a compact state, and ED/CCU experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Current NH RN licensure or compact state licensure.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year Emergency or Critical Care experience preferred.
• BCLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification or within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care including triage, critical care, trauma and MECU.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment, sound judgment and prioritization.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

The Emergency Department at Exeter Hospital cares for a diverse patient population with a wide range of medical needs. With annual volumes of approximately 33,000 patients, the department is one of the busiest in the Seacoast area. In addition to the main Emergency Department, comprised of 21 beds, there is a 6-bed Minor Care area.

Our Emergency Department nurses possess strong clinical assessment skills, superior judgment, and the ability to manage challenging situations and set priorities. They care for patients of all ages with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses in the following settings: triage, critical care, trauma care, emergency care and the Minor Emergency Care Unit (MECU).

In this fast-paced environment, you must possess strong clinical assessment skills, superior judgment, and the ability to manage challenging situations and set priorities. Previous nursing experience in an emergency department setting and BSN are strongly preferred.

• Active RN license - NH State or any other compact state
• BSN Preferred
• 1 Year Emergency or Critical Care experience preferred
• BCLS at hire
• ACLS, PALS certified or within 6 months of hire

Pay Range

$35.00 - $63.15

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable.
