Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Band 6 Acute Inpatients Occupational Therapist to join our medical team in Exeter (UK). This ongoing full-time locum role offers £27.00 per hour and the chance to deliver specialist assessments, treatments and care planning in acute and chronic scenarios.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, supervise junior staff, participate in service development, and be ready for on-call and weekend duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and advice to patients and their carers, focusing on acute and chronic care cases.
• Handle a varied caseload including complex disabilities and terminal care cases.
• Work autonomously and sometimes independently, integrating therapy input into overall care plans.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team in an acute setting.
• Supervise, train, and support junior staff and students, enhancing their professional development.
• Participate in service development with managers, ensuring equitable care across the Trust.
• Engage in on-call and weekend duties as required, contributing to comprehensive patient care.
