A global insurance firm in London seeks an experienced underwriter to analyze and evaluate excess casualty submissions. Responsibilities include negotiating terms with brokers, issuing policy documentation, and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate will have previous casualty underwriting experience and a passion for working in a dynamic environment. This role’s primary responsibility is to underwrite, analyze and evaluate global excess casualty submissions using underwriting experience, and make underwriting decisions in line with underwriting guidelines and authority. The book is made up of mainly US domiciled Fortune 1,000 type clients operating in a wide range of industrial sectors such as Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Rail, Logistics, Healthcare, Energy, Mining, Automotive and General Manufacturing.
