Job Introduction

About You

Do you have excellent organisational and forward planning skills, able to complete work to a high standard of accuracy and presentation? Do you have experience of planning and preparing meetings, experience in taking notes / minutes of meetings? Can you communicate effectively at all levels?

If you have answered yes, then you may well be just what we are looking for.

The Role

We have a vacancy within the Executive Support Team. The role is to act as an aide to the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) to enable them to perform their roles to maximum efficiency and effectiveness and to ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times. This will include providing high quality and comprehensive secretarial and administrative support.

To act as an aide to the Leader of the Council, Cabinet Members, and the Chairman to enable them to perform their roles to maximum efficiency and effectiveness and to ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Dealing professionally, politely and confidentially with enquiries from staff, elected politicians, members of the public and external organisations. Interpret requests for information and solve routine problems. This will include email, telephone and face to face contact.

Additional Information
  • Flexible approach to working hours, able to work outside normal office hours if necessary, including a requirement to be available for evening meetings.
