THE ROLE

The Gold Studios is launching a brand-new entertainment-led YouTube network dedicated to UK sport. This will be a multi-channel platform featuring original formats, creator-led shows, and cultural commentary — with a strong focus on football, but covering the full spectrum of sport. Several channels, multiple voices, and one goal: to create the most engaging, unfiltered sports entertainment in the UK.

We’re looking for anExecutive Producer & Managing Directorto lead the network from the ground up. You’ll help shape the creative direction, tone of voice, and editorial vision — developing standout shows, building formats that cut through, and working closely with talent to bring raw, real sports stories to life. You’ll be hands-on in setting the culture, defining the look and feel, and making sure the network speaks directly to a modern sports audience.

You’ll also oversee a multi-million-pound production budget and be responsible for building a UK-based team of producers, editors, and creatives. You’ll drive performance across multiple channels, ensuring the content is not just watchable but shareable — growing views, subs, and cultural impact. RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Lead the development and launchof a multi-channel UK sports entertainment network on YouTube.

·Oversee all productionoperations across multiple original shows, formats, and talent-led series.

·Manage a multi-million pound annual productionbudget, ensuring all content is delivered efficiently and at scale.

·Build and lead a UK-based teamof producers, editors, creatives, and freelancers to execute high-quality productions.

·Work closely with talent to develop show ideas, creative direction, tone of voice, and on-screen energy.

·Supervise all stages of production— from development and scripting to shoots, edits, and delivery.

·Oversee content strategy and programmingacross channels to maximise audience engagement and growth.

·Ensure strong editorial standards, creative innovation, and output that reflects a raw, real approach to sports storytelling.

·Manage channel and show performance, driving views, subscriptions, and cultural impact.

·Collaborate with internal stakeholderson marketing, platform strategy, and channel growth plans.

·Stay on top of YouTube trends, algorithms,and platform best practices to ensure content reaches the widest possible audience.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS:

·Proven experience running YouTube or TV productions in UK sport.

·A deep understanding of UK sports culture — especially football — and what makes fans engage with content.

·A track record of creating original sports formats that drive views, spark conversation, and build loyal audiences.

·Confidence working with on-screen talent — including athletes, presenters, and content creators.

·A passion for raw, real sports storytelling — and the ambition to build a groundbreaking new network in UK sports media.
