South Gloucestershire & Stroud College is seeking an experienced Head of Compliance and Assurance to lead the College's compliance, governance and assurance framework. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will work with senior leaders to embed legal, regulatory and contractual obligations across the College and support strategic decision-making.

You will oversee risk management, board assurance, data protection, information governance and policy management, driving continuous improvement

Mansioni

Coordinate the College's compliance and assurance arrangements, ensuring that legal, regulatory, contractual and governance obligations are understood, embedded and evidenced.
Provide managers with practical advice on contractual obligations, liabilities, rights, variations, renewal and termination, escalating material contractual risks to the Director of Finance.
Support the management of legal matters, claims and disputes in liaison with the College's legal advisers.
Support the Director of Finance in maintaining and improving the College's Risk Management Framework, policy, guidance and supporting processes.
Serve as the College's officially designated Data Protection Officer (DPO).
Coordinate the day-to-day relationship with internal auditors and support the Director of Finance in administering the risk-based internal audit programme.
