About this job: As the Executive Director of Reporting and Insights at Astellas Pharma, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data-driven strategies that enhance patient care and drive innovation in healthcare. You will lead a global team, ensuring that our reporting and insights are not only accurate but also actionable, enabling us to meet the unmet medical needs of patients worldwide. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide strong leadership, motivating, mentoring, and developing a diverse team across multiple locations, aligning resources with business goals and ensuring individual success.
  2. Lead R&D tracking and reporting processes, generating insights for effective resource planning and study performance.
  3. Support the technology ecosystem to adapt to new modalities and therapeutic areas as business opportunities arise.
  4. Implement strategic initiatives to improve development timelines, eliminate delays, and enhance efficiency.
  5. Oversee the evaluation and implementation of standards for digital system management excellence.
  6. Manage platforms and tools for content management and data integration to drive user enablement and execution.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
  • Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Extensive team management across multiple locations, including recognizing and utilizing skill sets effectively.
  • Significant experience in R&D roles within a pharmaceutical organization.
  • Proven leadership in digital transformation and operational execution.
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies and their application in R&D.
  • Experience in data governance and stewardship across diverse data types.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of building effective relationships across divisions.
Preferred Experience:
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Veeva, Planisware, and SAS.
  • Experience managing budgets and demonstrating project ROI.
Education:
  • University degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience.

Additional Information:
  • This is a permanent, full-time position.
  • Based in the United Kingdom.
  • Follows our hybrid working model, requiring a blend of home and at least 1 day per quarter in our Addlestone office. Flexibility may be needed based on business requirements.
