One of our large financial services clients is currently looking for an experienced Operation Change Specialist with Financial Crime knowledge.

  • Support the Programme Manager and OAD MD lead by providing business and product expertise to drive operations transformation, including integrating operational excellence.
  • Accountable for building and delivering the overall vision and driving key operational priorities. They will have SME opinion on the changes the bank needs to implement.

Coordinate with various Workstream Leads and the Project Manager to enable projects to meet their objectives. Responsible for ensuring requirements are defined, tested, and meet business needs.

Background:

• CMG provides enterprise professional project, programme, and portfolio management (P3M) resources and expertise to the organization, operating as a strategic, centralized business function overseeing change management.

• The oversight includes governance, guidance, best practices, mentoring, and upskilling project managers and BAU staff.

• Implements a standard enterprise-wide project framework with tools, templates, and processes to ensure strategic alignment between business objectives and projects.

• Acts as a resource center/center of excellence, comprising qualified project, programme, and change managers, business analysts, and junior analysts, divided into multidisciplinary teams reporting to a Team Lead.

• Serves as a champion for in-scope workstreams impacting EMEA Operations, providing SME expertise and coordinating communication with Front Office departments.

• Recognized as the Programme SME, responsible for primary communications to Operations and supporting Front Office in understanding upcoming changes.

• Conducts initial gap analysis with Workstream Leads and external consultants, updating and finalizing it.

• Reviews Business Cases and ensures necessary approvals are obtained.

• Collaborates with the Project Manager to validate and prioritize changes, adjusting scope as needed.

• Ensures that operating models and project changes meet business requirements and presents proposals to Senior Management.

• Communicates rationale for deliverables to impacted areas.

• Works with the Project Manager and Workstream Leads to ensure regulatory and business requirements are met across all changes, seeking advice when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience in Operations and driving Operational Excellence in major financial institutions.
  • Operational Change expertise.
  • Understanding of the structure of modern commercial and investment banks.
  • Good knowledge of products, processes, systems, and documentation impacted by projects.
  • Familiarity with the organizational structure in EMEA, with contacts across departments.
  • Experience delivering major projects under tight deadlines, managing multiple workstreams.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentations.
  • Strong time management skills, capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
