Job Summary

Join Multi-Story Orchestra in an empowering leadership role, taking responsibility for our financial and operational strategy, and delivering on our new business plan.

Job Description

Key Strategic Objectives for the interim period:

  • Oversee operational processes, financial management and team management.
  • Hold key relationship with funders including Arts Council England for our National Portfolio agreement Continue active fundraising for the organisation and ensure delivery of ongoing funding agreements.
  • Manage recruitment of permanent leadership, working closely with the Chair of Trustees and an external headhunter.
  • Consolidate governance processes, working closely with the Chair of Trustees.
  • Lead delivery on Multi-Story's business plan with the rest of the team and trustees.
  • Work closely with the CEO/AD to deliver and develop long-term strategic and financial planning.
  • Ensure young people are central to Multi-Story vision, programme and delivery Attend workshops and performances and engage with participants and audiences where appropriate
  • Oversee all evaluation processes, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and funding requirements.
  • Identify, develop and maintain partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the AD on developing our environmental action plan and risk management.
  • Team management.
  • Maintain a positive, supportive organisational culture and structure, which promotes wellbeing and safety for all staff and participants.
  • Responsibility for all HR and recruitment processes Line management of Operation Team.
  • Lead on team communication, away days and development
  • Work closely with the AD to create and deliver a multi-year fundraising plan to stabilize our ~£400k+ turnover and diversify our income streams.
  • Hold key relationships including Arts Council England for our National Portfolio Organisation funding agreement as well as all other major donors.

We perform in car parks, creating extraordinary performances, telling stories, and unleashing creativity.

Our performances bring together amassed choirs and
instrumentalists to give incredibly moving musical experiences that celebrate the local community. We believe everyone should be able to be involved in music and be creative so we go into schools to create ensembles that involve everyone.
