Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the United Kingdom seeks a Generative AI Executive Director to lead design and delivery of production-grade LLM systems powering mission-critical products for thousands of professionals.

You will partner with ML Engineering, Product Management, and Cloud Engineering to ensure reliable, secure, scalable AI solutions, bridging advanced research with practical engineering. This role sits in the Chief Analytics Office and will shape the firm’s AI strategy at scale.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in a quantitative field.
• Hands-on ML engineering with production AI experience.
• Expertise in NLP, CV, or multimodal LLMs and statistics.
• Experience with distributed, multi-threaded architectures (Ray/Horovod/DeepSpeed).
• Strong ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable APIs and agentic workflows across the firm.
• Architect production LLM-based systems for text, image, speech, and video.
• Own end-to-end delivery and continuous improvement of LLM Suite products.
• Collaborate with ML Engineering, Product Management, and Cloud Engineering to ensure reliability and security.
• Bridge AI research with robust engineering for enterprise impact.
• Drive results with an entrepreneurial mindset in a fast-paced environment.
