• Substantial senior leadership experience within a complex organisation.
• Proven track record of leading large, multi-disciplinary services.
• Significant experience in environmental, transport and operational service delivery within a large organisation.
• Strong financial, commercial and strategic skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing abilities to deliver through collaboration.
• Leads with integrity, collaboration and commitment to public services.
• Experience of transformation, organisational change and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership of the Environment & Transport Division, delivering outcomes for residents, businesses and communities across Derbyshire.
• Lead large, complex teams and significant budgets, ensuring services are financially sustainable and deliver value for money.
• Drive service improvement, innovation and transformation, achieving efficiencies and continuous improvement.
• Support delivery of corporate priorities and the Environmental Sustainability Strategy.
• Build strong relationships with elected members, government bodies, partners and service providers to influence outcomes.
• Be a key member of the Place Strategic Leadership Team, driving transformation and performance improvement.
• Develop a positive, inclusive, high-performing culture.
