Job summary

JPMorganChase Investment Banking in London is seeking an Executive Director to lead the EMEA M&A origination and execution, with a focus on infrastructure transactions and complex deals.

You will act as the primary day-to-day client contact, oversee multiple workstreams, and drive the team’s growth in the EMEA market from our London office.

This role requires a proven track record, strong leadership, and the ability to mentor junior bankers within the London office.

Qualifications

• Significant experience (min 9 years) in investment banking M&A with proven lead on transactions.
• Ability to source and run complex processes and manage multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines.
• Experience in negotiating transactions and related legal documentation.
• Strong financial analysis and modelling capability; ability to oversee valuation workstreams.
• Self-directed, highly motivated with strong project management and attention to detail.
• Collaborative leadership style with experience developing junior talent.

Responsibilities

• Origination leadership: source and develop sell-side M&A opportunities with infrastructure funds and asset managers.
• Execution excellence: lead end-to-end M&A across public and private transactions, including sell-side mandates and buy-sides.
• Client leadership: serve as primary day-to-day relationship and deal lead, guiding strategy, process, and negotiations.
• Cross-platform coordination: partner with Funds Coverage, sector teams, and product partners to deliver integrated advice.
• Process management: oversee diligence, Q&A, management presentations, stakeholder management, and negotiations through signing and closing.
• Quality control: review and refine marketing and execution materials to high standards.
• Team leadership: manage, mentor, and train junior bankers; coordinate analytics across deal teams.
• Risk management: identify, manage, and escalate issues as needed.
