AWS is growing rapidly around the world with customers ranging from startups to some of the world’s largest corporations.

We are seeking an Executive Communications Manger to lead Senior Leadership
Communications for key leaders, shaping their voice and vision across diverse audiences worldwide, working within Amazon's Communications & Corporate Responsibility organization.

In this role, you'll manage internal and external communications for key AWS executives in EMEA. You'll develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that effectively connect AWS leaders with employees, customers, and influential external audiences across earnt and owned channels, including internal, social, media, and speaker events. You will work closely with senior leaders to develop communications positions and strategies that align individual communication styles with wider business priorities and best practices.
This position is based in London (UK) and requires European and occasional international travel.

Key job responsibilities
Strategic Communications Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to support AWS’s objectives and priorities. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define key messages. Collaborate closely with private offices, policy teams, and external partners to ensure alignment and impact.

Thought Leadership and Messaging: Lead the creation of executive speeches, op-eds, media opportunities and key communications products that clearly articulate leadership priorities and resonate with global stakeholders internally and externally. Collaborate with executives to ensure their authentic voice and AWS message is effectively conveyed, and develop clear and concise briefing materials.

Strategic Counsel: Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership to help them prioritize their time and focus on key opportunities that will have the most impact on AWS’s business strategy. Advise on communications strategy, integrating messaging with broader corporate initiatives and media activities. Provide guidance and support during high-pressure situations, and ensure timely and accurate communication to relevant stakeholders.

External and Internal Communication: Be adept at defining the appropriate channel, messaging, and content to engage with internal and external audiences, with proven experience of executing high visibility moments with leaders for managing keynotes, high profile media opportunities, and on social.

Organizational Skills: Manage tight deadlines and complex approval processes with professionalism and agility. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of communications, driving continuous improvement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in professional communications or public relations
- Bachelor's degree
- Communications experience at a senior level, preferably in a global organization
- Portfolio of work demonstrating the ability to tell complex stories in relatable terms
- Experience creating content for leaders of complex tech organizations: digital, written, video, and audio communications materials
- Track record in internal and external communications for senior business leaders
- Proficiency in various communication channels and tools, including social media platforms
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work effectively with executives and stakeholders at all levels. Able to navigate sensitive issues and complex stakeholder landscapes
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, anticipate challenges, and develop proactive communication strategies
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal direction
- Experience building trust and influencing cross-functional teams
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage multiple priorities
