Job summary

Compass Group UK is seeking an Executive Chef Manager to lead the education catering operation at St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College in North Kensington, London. You will manage the kitchen team, plan menus, and ensure fresh, high-quality meals for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Chef Manager, Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
• Education catering experience preferred (school/college).
• Strong kitchen management and team leadership skills.
• Passion for fresh food and customer service excellence.
• Experience in menu planning, volume catering and food production.
• Solid knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP and Health & Safety.
• Experience managing suppliers, ordering, stock control and costs.
• Able to manage a busy operation and train a catering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day kitchen and catering operation.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality, fresh meals.
• Plan menus for a sixth-form environment.
• Lead, train and develop the kitchen team.
• Manage food ordering, deliveries, stock and storage.
• Control food costs, budgets and wastage.
• Maintain Food Safety, HACCP and Health & Safety standards.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented to company standards.
• Maintain unit paperwork and catering records.
• Build relationships with College, students and staff.
• Respond professionally to customer feedback and queries.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness and customer experience.
