Job summary

Eurest at Birmingham's Bournville site seeks an experienced Executive Chef to lead the kitchen operation, elevate the food offer and drive continuous improvement in a busy food manufacturing environment.

You will manage, coach and develop the kitchen team, cook hands-on, control costs, ensure Compass standards and food safety, and deliver high-quality hospitality for events and daily service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen in food manufacturing or large-scale catering.
• Proven track record of managing a team and delivering quality food.
• Strong focus on customer experience and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Managing, motivating and developing the kitchen team.
• Hands-on cooking and food preparation, leading by example.
• Ensuring Compass standards, food safety and HSE requirements.
• Elevating the food offer through new ideas and consistent execution.
• Promoting hospitality for events and everyday service.
• Managing ordering, stock control and regular stock takes.
• Monitoring quality, presentation, portion control and consistency.
• Delivering a smooth, efficient service.
• Collaborating with client and wider team to exceed expectations.
• Identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience.
• Providing a consistent approach across the operation during busy periods.
• Occasional weekend checks to verify standards and service.
