Executive Assistant (EA) to the Police and Crime Commissioner for Dorset (PCC)
Location: Police Headquarters, Winfrith, Dorset
Salary: Scale F : Starting salary is A GBP 33,264 per annum, rising by annual increments to a maximum of A GBP 38,754 per annum. (Please note that the above salary is based on working 37 hours per week. If this role is part-time or you are appointed on a part-time basis your salary will be prorated to reflect this. Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Devon and Cornwall or Dorset Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same Scale)
Hours: This role is 37 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.

This is a rare opportunity to join the small, dedicated team of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Dorset. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Executive Assistant to support the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) in delivering their strategic priorities and public duties. This is a pivotal role requiring high levels of confidentiality, excellent judgement and strong administrative expertise.
You will need proven experience in a senior administrative or executive assistant role and have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. The role requires a high level of professionalism, integrity and ability to prioritise effectively and work independently.
Step 1: All applications submitted for shortlisting will be reviewed on Tuesday 4th November 2025.
Step 2: Candidates successful at Step 1 will be invited to complete an assessment and have an informal face-to-face conversation about the role. These will both take place on Monday 17th November 2025. The assessment will consist of a work-based written exercise.
Step 3: Candidates successful at Step 2 will be invited for a face-to-face structured interview on Thursday 20th November 2025.
