Job Description

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to support the General Counsel at Wise. This role goes beyond traditional diary and travel management—you will be a strategic partner, handling high-level projects, governance coordination, and financial administration. Working closely with the legal leadership team, you’ll ensure seamless operations, communication, and project execution in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executive Support: Act as a gatekeeper, effectively managing the General Counsel’s time, priorities, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strategic Coordination: Prepare executive summaries, high-level reports, and board materials to support decision-making.
  • Governance & Compliance: Oversee legal team governance processes, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Project & Event Management: Plan and execute team offsites, events, and cross-departmental initiatives, including assisting with exec team and board events.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage executive office budgets, invoices, and financial planning.
  • Communication Management: Draft and refine internal and external communications on behalf of the General Counsel.
  • Leadership Support: Lead administrative teams and contribute to strategic planning sessions.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant at senior leadership level, ideally in fintech, legal, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and legal processes in a corporate environment.
  • Experience in project management and executing high-level administrative initiatives.
  • Proficiency in budget management, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Meticulous attention to detail—accuracy is non-negotiable.
  • Exceptional business communication skills, including drafting executive-level correspondence.
  • Strategic problem-solving ability, with strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and proactively solve challenges.
  • Strong technical proficiency, particularly in Google Suite, Microsoft Office and project management tools.

  • Highly organised and proactive, with a structured approach to workload management.
  • Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable and eager to take on new responsibilities beyond traditional EA tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (, Business Administration, Law, Finance).
