Job summary

British Cycling is seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to support the Grand Depart GB 2027 programme in Manchester. The role requires exceptional organisation, discretion and the ability to coordinate across multiple workstreams and senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

You will manage diaries, travel and document preparation for boards and funders, while supporting governance and project coordination to help deliver a world-class international sporting event.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience advising senior leaders within a complex organisation.
  • Outstanding diary, meeting and travel management skills with proactive anticipation.
  • Experience supporting governance processes, agenda prep, board papers and minute-taking.
  • Excellent written communication for reports, presentations and briefing papers.
  • Strong stakeholder management with public sector partners and sponsors.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities under pressure.
  • Discretion handling sensitive information and confidential material.
  • Experience with events, hospitality, accreditation or protocol activities is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the MD’s/Chair’s/Director’s diary, scheduling, and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare, proof, and edit documents, presentations, and briefings for Board and stakeholders.
  • Support Directors and Company Secretary with Board meeting prep, agendas, logistics, papers, minute-taking and follow up.
  • Track key actions from senior meetings and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Assist PMO with monthly PMO report collation and coordination between workstreams.
