Executive Assistant - Leader's Office
Salary: £37,815 - £43,083 per annum
Grade E
Fixed Term Contract - 18 months (Maternity Cover)

About the Role
As part of our Executive Support Team, you'll play a key role in enabling effective leadership and decision-making. You'll be responsible for:
- Providing proactive executive support to the Leader / Deputy Leader.
- Managing communications, meetings, agendas, and briefing materials.
- Coordinating across departments and external stakeholders.
- Overseeing the daily operations and performance of Mayoral Office staff, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Supporting key events, and corporate initiatives.
- Working flexibly and autonomously in a fast-paced, politically sensitive environment.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting senior leaders or elected officials.
- Demonstrates excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Can manage competing priorities and tight deadlines with confidence.
- Is politically astute, tactful, and maintains strict confidentiality.
- Has advanced IT skills and thrives in a digital-first, agile workplace.
- Has experience in supervising or managing staff, ideally within a political or public sector setting.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to see the bigger picture, using initiative to enhance the visibility and impact of the Leader's Office.
