Executive Assistant – 3-Month FTC

Hybrid (3 days in the office – City of London). Pay up to £60k. Start Date: Mid-September 2025.

Our client, a specialty insurer and reinsurer focused on risks across Africa, is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support their Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and wider team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, international environment where you’ll play a critical role in enabling the CSO to focus on strategic initiatives and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executive Support: Manage complex diaries across multiple time zones, prepare correspondence and presentations, handle sensitive information, and coordinate international travel.
  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organise internal/external meetings, draft agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Communication Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for the Strategy team, screening communications and drafting correspondence on behalf of the CSO.
  • Project Management: Track deliverables, support strategic projects, and prepare briefing materials for meetings and events.
  • Administrative Support: Ensure the CSO is fully prepared for all engagements, maintain organised records, and collaborate with other administrative staff.
Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience supporting a C-level executive.
  • Strong EA background in the insurance industry.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication.
  • High level of discretion handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams).
  • Ability to work independently and proactively manage priorities.

Desirable:

  • French language skills.
  • Calm, professional approach under pressure.
  • High flexibility and a “can-do” attitude.
Working Pattern
  • Standard hours: 9 am – 5 pm.
  • Hybrid: 3 days per week in the City office; 2 days WFH.
