We are seeking a proactive and experienced Executive Assistant to support the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) in delivering their strategic priorities and public duties. This is a pivotal role requiring high levels of confidentiality, excellent judgement and strong administrative expertise.
You will need proven experience in a senior administrative or executive assistant role and have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. The role requires a high level of professionalism, integrity and ability to prioritise effectively and work independently.

Salary: Scale F - Starting salary is £33,264 per annum, rising by annual increments to a maximum of £38,754 per annum.
Please note that the above salary is based on working 37 hours per week. If this role is part-time or you are appointed on a part-time basis your salary will be prorated to reflect this. Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Devon & Cornwall or Dorset Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same Scale.

Type of working arrangement: Hybrid Worker - Hybrid working is a form of flexible working where workers spend some of their time working remotely (usually, but not necessarily, from home) and some in the employer's workspace.
Hours per week: this role is 37 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is a non-political, impartial organisation.
There are two statutory roles that every Police and Crime Commissioner must have; Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer (Treasurer).
The Chief Executive for the Office of the Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner is Simon Bullock.
In order for the PCC to be able to successfully undertake his duties he is supported by a small team of staff within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC). The OPCC provides support in a number of areas including strategic planning, priority setting, budget and financial decision making, commissioning and partnerships, performance monitoring, governance and scrutiny, consultation and engagement, press and media and general administrative duties.
