The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality, comprehensive, and responsive executive support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with some support to the Chair of Board Sub-Committees. The role involves working as part of an Executive Support Team and includes support related to finance activities.

Monthly travel to our head office in Theale, Reading, will be required.

Applications will be shortlisted upon receipt, and interviews will be held on 21st July via Microsoft Teams. The role may close early depending on application volume.

About the role

Your main duties will include:

  1. Providing a full range of secretarial and administrative support to the CFO and, on occasion, other members of the Central Finance Leadership Team.
  2. Supporting preparation for governance and board-level meetings, including the Finance & Resource Committee (FRC) and Group Audit and Risk Committee (GARC). This includes preparing and issuing agendas, proofreading reports, collating papers, taking and distributing minutes, and following up on actions.
  3. Maintaining diaries effectively, including scheduling appointments, tracking movements, and arranging travel, accommodation, and meeting venues.
  4. Being the first point of contact for the CFO Office, handling calls, correspondence, and emails, and responding on the CFO’s behalf when appropriate.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in a senior secretarial or PA role.
  • Experience in note-taking at formal meetings and providing accurate minutes.
  • The ability to prepare accurate documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, manage conflicting priorities, and meet deadlines.
