Executive Assistant

Location: West London Waste Authority, Unit 6, Britannia Court, The Green, West Drayton UB7 7PN

Contract: Temporary, 4–6 months

Hours: Full-time, 36 hours/week

Rate: £20-25 per hour (equivalent to £38k-£47k pro rata incl. London weighting)

Start Date: ASAP

Work Pattern: Head Office – West Drayton 1-2 days per week.

Overview

West London Waste Authority (WLWA) is looking for a highly organised and reliable Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and Chief Officers — Working collaboratively to ensure professional coordination, high standards of governance, and a smooth delivery of business priorities.

This is a temporary 4–6 month role, ideal for someone proactive and professional with EA experience working at senior levels. High organisational skills, strong communication and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide full secretariat and administrative support for governance meetings, steering groups, partnership boards and working groups.
  • Provide comprehensive executive support to the Director of Finance & Corporate Resources and Assistant Director of Governance.
  • Ensure all administrative and governance practices are carried out in compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Prepare agendas, reports, and papers in line with corporate governance standards.
  • Take accurate minutes and ensure timely circulation of actions and decisions.
  • Manage diaries, prioritising and scheduling meetings in line with strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate and track actions across SLT to ensure follow-up and delivery.
  • Ensure records, files and information systems are up-to-date, accurate and GDPR compliant.
What We’re Looking For
  • Available for Immediate start
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Confident with handling sensitive data and confidential documents.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple calendars and meetings.
  • Comfortable working independently and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills, especially when liaising with SLT and Stakeholders

  • Knowledge of West London communities
  • Understanding of waste management operations

  • Temporary role: 4–6 months
  • 36 hours/week Monday- Friday
  • £20-£25/hour (via agency, incl. holiday pay)
  • WFH, Head Office 1-2 days per week
