About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity available for an Executive Assistant (EA) to support our Group Chief Risk Officer (GCRO) and the Senior Leadership team (SLT). This is a varied and fast paced role which will give you exposure to working with a senior leadership team within risk and compliance.

You will become an integral part of the Risk and Compliance function, as you provide administrative and secretarial support to help the team to make the best use of their time through a high level of structure and prioritisation activities.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Effectively manage diaries and schedule meetings, maximising best use of time and trouble shooting where necessary.
  2. Manage travel arrangements, booking transport and accommodation where necessary.
  3. Act as first point of contact with people from both inside and outside the organisation, and respond to general telephone enquiries, dealing with queries and forwarding to the relevant stakeholder.
  4. Manage email accounts, providing a discreet and effective service, identifying urgent correspondence, and responding on behalf of when required.
  5. Co-ordinate, attend and organise meetings, preparing and printing documentation (where necessary), including minute taking and action tracking and follow-up.
  6. Reminding the Accountable Executive of important tasks and deadlines.
  7. Processing expenses using the internal system (Workday).
  8. Ensuring mandatory e-learning is up to date across the SLT and wider team.
  9. Supporting additional SLT members with ad hoc tasks including diary management, finance related activities (such as creating Purchase Orders and reconciling invoices in Workday), recruitment support and maintaining organisational charts.
  10. Organising monthly team collaboration days.

About you

  • Previous EA experience supporting Directors and senior management within a Financial Services environment. Risk and Compliance would be desirable.
  • An aptitude for learning new systems will complement your thorough knowledge of Microsoft Suite (including Outlook).
  • Accomplished in forging effective relationships at all levels, skilled at influencing, negotiating and managing challenging conversations with ease.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills – with the ability to use own experience to develop pragmatic solutions and resolve complex issues.
  • Able to work in a team or alone and effectively collaborate to achieve common goals plus the ability to self-manage competing workloads & effectively prioritise.
  • Operate professionally with discretion, able to manage sensitive data appropriately.

Interview process

The interview process for this role will consist of a competency-based interview and introductions to key stakeholders.

Working Schedule

This role is based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern to enable you the option of working from home and coming into the office.
