Amber Therapeutics are looking for an Executive Assistant within a full-time hybrid role (3 days onsite, 2 days from home) based at our new custom-built facility in Harwell, Oxfordshire. Amber is a pioneering neuromodulation company dedicated to transforming the lives of patients through advanced medical technology. We specialise in the development of cutting-edge active implantable medical devices.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to our Executive team. This is a pivotal role within the company, working closely with the Office Manager to ensure seamless operations across the business. An opportunity to work at the heart of a growing business, you will directly support senior leaders and contribute to the delivery of key strategic initiatives. The role offers variety, responsibility and the scope to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively manage diaries, meetings, investor relations, board packs, corporate events and international travel.
  • Prepare and coordinate presentations, reports and high-level documentation for the Executive team and Board.
  • Act as the business lead for GDPR, liaising with external consultants to ensure compliance and accurate record-keeping.
  • Oversee IT and cybersecurity supplier relationships, maintaining risk registers and ensuring contract delivery.
  • HR administration activities including responsibility for employee onboarding/offboarding and benefits administration, collaborating with external suppliers as required.
  • Lead Health & Safety compliance, including committee meetings, risk assessments and reporting.
  • Coordinate company offsites and events, ensuring effective planning, budgeting and supplier management.
  • Support ESG reporting requirements including data collection and analysis.
  • Responsible for operational business processes including improvements, implementation and management.
  • Provide ad hoc project support and deputise for the Office Manager where required.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in an EA or senior administrative role, ideally supporting C-Suite executives.
  • Strong GDPR knowledge and confidence in managing compliance processes.
  • Industry experience in life sciences, manufacturing or engineering advantageous.
  • Experience managing suppliers, contracts and health & safety compliance.
  • Advanced skills across Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, discretion and a high level of professionalism.
  • First Aid/Fire Marshal certification desirable (or willingness to train).

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
